Does anybody think this might be the reason
Both The City of Oakland & Al got fooled, not by one another, but by the fans? There was that pre season game in Oaktown, everybody went nuts, the ticket were sold out in a matter of minutes. I don't have the exact date or time but i'm sure you all know what i'm taking about. Was this what the City saw as a chance to get them back for what ever reason and on Al's part was it just home sickness. See i never new why he left Oakland really. My life at the time was turned up side down by a pending move east. I new full well that the COL. was empty and Al new he had a product that people liked. Why he missed the mark on this one i'll never understand. There was a reason why Hilton moved the Chargers to SD and why Georgia move to Anaheim. Why didn't anybody tell him? I guess it wouldn't have made a difference.
