Post Stubblefield Enjoys New Digs

Stubblefield Enjoys New Digs
June 22, 2003
By Brian Berry

Nobody likes to come into Network Associates Coliseum and contend with the Silver and Black - period. New Raider and All-Pro Defensive Tackle Dana Stubblefield can attest to that. "It's different playing against these guys in the black hole," Stubblefield said. Is Dana looking forward to being on the favorable side of the hole? "Are you kidding me?" That was his reply when reporters posed that question on day two of the Raiders recent mini-camp. The 6-2, 290-pound defensive tackle spent seven seasons across the Bay with the San Francisco 49ers, where Network Associates Coliseum was considered enemy territory. Now, Stubblefield calls it home.

Everyone that comes to the Raiders

Enjoys their new digs..Ah, one exception, Sam Adams. He didn't like it from day one, i think the Raider coaching staff didn't have a clue what to do with him.

Adams didn't get along with Mike Waufle, the line coach. I think Stubby will fit in just fine....

Stubby's great at the line vs. the run, but he can be very unintimidating in the pass rush. Luckily we have Rod vs. the pass. Stubby wants another chance and will get it in Oaktown
