Good read! IMO, the Raiders would have been crazy to keep Kiffin as coach. It was clear that he was not ready to handle the rigors of the job. The way he has been carrying on since he has been at Tennesee just about sums it up. This team can be good this year, but I would not be surprised by another stinker.

If the Raiders keep Tom Cable as their coach for the next three years the raiders could really blossom as a AFC power in the next two to four years.

what , So SD is the favorite??
once again we dontahve a chance!??
we beat the chiefs,
plus the beat the broncos at the end of the seaon when they neede to clinch the divsion and we still have a 20-1 chance to win the divison
wasnt it won lass year with an 8-8 record?
SD was 8-8.
Donks were 8-8, new coach, no culter
Oak 5-12,
KC was worse and they all ahead of us.
man i cant wait to prove them all wrong

They have KC's chance of winning the division at 11-1 and Oakland's at 20-1. That sucks....

No argument Al will ruin any chance we have of being a contender. I take issue with the assumption we will be in last place. The Raiders are very young, yeah. Don't they take into account the Broncos in dissaray? KC with a new coaching staff? The whales vagina will prob take the AFC west. We've got a shot at 2nd place....Dont we?

20-1? thats a total load of BS if i've ever seen it. The writer obviously hasn't paid much attention to the division other than the headlines. We had some impressive stuff at the end of last season. By no means does two games prove much, but Tampa was fighting for a playoff spot and we shut the door HARD in the fourth. that was without an offseason of positive correlations. Cable is the guy.
The Chiefs are 8x more lost than we are as a franchise. Bad owner or not, we still have one. atleast we have a direction with our team. not a clusterF**K of nonsense. Cassel was decent at best because the Pats whole team made him that way. and The Donks. Ha. .. we all know where thats going, down like a penny whore when you slip her a 5 in her g-string on a drunken friday.
i say we take second, 7-9 record while the bolts have atleast a 2 game spread for the lead. up to 11 games. neither the donks or KC get more than 6.

Honest read, allthough i do have hopes we will have this turned sooner rather than later it all depends on this...
How will our D play...if they are sollid...with our runninggame...we will have a chance..

The odds are a nonsense.
They add up to a total of under 89% which means any bookie betting to them will be guaranteed to lose money whatever the result. Looks like the guy that wrote the article was picking numbers out of thin air.
I work in the Sports Betting industry, in England, and the best current odds, (compiled from 8 online books), for the division are:-
Chargers 2/5
Broncos 5/1
Chiefs 8/1
Raiders 12/1
The Chiefs seem to be the "sexy" pick in some quarters, Christ knows why. Raiders are never a 12/1 shot IMO. I've had a nice bet on them already and may top up again soon.

Pretty much say that again everybody else has yet to see the improvements we have made to bolster our roster. Time will definitely tell this season.
