Its sad to say but its more and more obvious that Alex Smith will turn out as a bust. This is probably his final year in SF.

I his best chance to succeed was with Norv Turner in his ear and too bad it didnt last for him. I really dont think Mike Martz is a good thing for the 49ers. From what I see his offense and approach is awfully complicated and demands a lot of talent to work wich that teams doesnt have. I dont care about the what Frank Gore or Alex Smith are saying to the press, Im pretty sure he has them all confused right now. If Smith was really comfortable in it he would be the unquestionned starter and not look like a raw rookie like RaiderDee reported in another thread.

But hey, by the law of average, if one 1st overall pick QB is a bust one side of the Bay, the other one should end up in the HOF right!?....
