Ratto's job isn't to write as a fan, but as an observer. He has considerable wit and talent, and he keeps his facts straight.

Some of y'all cry every time anyone says anything remotely pessimistic about the Raiders, regardless of how it's put.

Yes, some sports journalists simply don't like the Raiders and will always put them down - Ratto's not one of them.

im kinda sad and happy that the raiders choose not to draw attention for themselves. sad cuz they barely get publicity and happy cuz everytime i watch nfl live. "today on nfl live brett favre, blah blah blah packers..." and not about raiders' problems. were gonna shock everyone this season. i can feel it.
