Raiders are giving Higgins every opportunity to be their starting punt returner.
Quote:
The Raiders are giving 2007 third-round pick Johnnie Lee Higgins every opportunity to be their starting punt returner.
Oakland is trying to replace free agent loss Chris Carr. Higgins had some decent spring practices, but his role on offense figures to remain minimal.

Thanks 40. He has the speed but can he make the adjustments and decisions that he needs to make? I think it is going to be tough for him to do it. I would like to see DMC do the punt returning. He is faster and i think that giving him the chance to get in the flow of the game will be great, because i am not in wonderland like everyone else, i know that Fargas and Bush are going to be the two guys that carry this team to the playoffs this year. Mcfadden is going to be a 3rd down back his first year.
Mcfadden for Punt Returner!!!!!!!!

Pre-Season he looked good, then just lost his confidence during the season. I hope he can workout as a PR because I don't want to see Hall get hurt back there.

Higgins can return kicks, but he scares me returning punts.
