No one will say with certainty what Asomugha is waiting for, and his agent, Steve Baker, is being tight-lipped. The Raiders tried to lock him into a long-term deal but Asomugha didn't bite.
With that all but ruled out, some in the organization think Asomugha wants assurances he won't be franchise-tagged a second straight season. That way, he can hit the free-agent market next year and land his first huge-money deal.

Nnamdi's going to get a huge-money deal regardless of whether he re-signs with the Raiders or with another team. I think it solely comes down to whether or not Nnamdi ultimately wants to be here. I truly hope that he does because as good as a football player that he is, he seems to be an even better person, a total class act. You can never have enough of those guys in the locker room.

I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this......this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes...... the *devil's* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply.....evil. - Dr. Loomis
