IMO the reciever position is overrated..and Walker at 29 is not a good signing imo..

Carter, Higgens, Chaz, Holland, Curry, Shields with the proper coaching can play just as good as Walker..he need to bring his game...to convince me, dont show up fat for instance..to begin with

Sorry to say this but you dont know what your talking about.

The Raiders have played with subpar talent for some time now and with the results that we know....

Yeah in a negative way, as in man I hate that guy who keeps racking up yards on us. It will be nice to have the man taking up yards FOR us.

I would have given the money to Aso instead of Walker in a hartbeat...also i believe the WR position needs convidence..with Lofton coaching our young guys..they need playing time..it's not like Walker is a TO, Moss, Rice, Brown, C. Johnson or A.Johnson kind of talent..he's a sollid nfl WR nothing more. We have young guys on our roster with more speed and commitment..if you sign a contract with a new organisation...for that kind of cash..atleas be in shape...i think this is Kiffins frustration about him..All i know is Drew allready ourdone Walker with his commitment and interaction with his QB. Walker as a vet should have done this bofore Drew IMO..

Also if he gest anything around a 1100 yards and 8 td's i will be the first to say i was wrong. I just don't get the possitive fibe from Walker that's all.

I have to disagree with you about the fat comment. Dude is still recovering from the knee surgery and it's the offseason. This is mini camp bro. If he shows up for training camp too heavy then I will cast judgement. Until that time, let the guy adjust, get in game shape and work his ass off. This was a positive article, not a Javon Walker bash fest. That guy ate us alive a couple years back. I don't quite understand your post. He is a TO, Moss, Rice, Brown, C Johnson or A. Johnson type talent. When he was paired up with Driver in GB he was the bomb. When he was catching passes in Denver he killed us. I just hope his injuries don't come back to haunt us.. That's my only concern..

While I think Walker is a viable (key word) WR, I don't think I would lump him in with consistent performers like Rice and TO.

Well sorry to say there are really no other receivers I would lump with T.O and Rice anyway, those two are in a world of their own. Walker was a need, you cant train the rookies we have to be anything close to what he was and still could be.

Solely based on injury issues, not on skill...
