I would rather have Culpepper than Dilfer. He probably makes better decisions than Culpepper though but his arm is pretty weak.

Thanks 40
I like that. He's the perfect fit. He has plenty of arm and wont screw up a game. Maybe Culpepper still has more upside but not by much. Trent has a whole lot of experience in that role and would be very valuable during the week days due to his knowledge of every offensive system in the league.

Nice! Dilfer would be a perfect mentor.

The thing about Dilfer is, while he may not win the game for you, he won't lose it by making a stupid mistake. Without speed, Culpepper is a deer in the headlights when the pressure is on. If Culpepper was as fast as he used to be, I'd be more open to having him back. But when you've got Randy Moss in a playing mode, it's like throwing a dog a frisbee, just throw it up and he'll go get it. That became obvious when Moss left the Vikings. Suddenly, Culpepper was average.

Exactly, I would re-sign Daunte.

Dilfer's fine with me. He's a game manager. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd rather have a QB that keeps us in the game, especially with our focus on running the pigskin than Culpepper who one week plays pro bowl level just to come back and drive high school coaches crazy.
