Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports free-agent RB Dominic Rhodes (Raiders) was promised his released if he took less money on his contract and the team drafted RB Darren McFadden. During an interview with Sirius Satellite Radio, Rhodes said: "If they drafted Darren McFadden I was like, 'Listen, I'll restructure but it's got to be to where if y'all draft him I can leave, you know. Y'all let me go.' That's kind of how it went. They kept their word and they let me get a chance to go somewhere else and get my opportunity."

Cool, that gives us a bit more perspective on how things went down. Good move by the franchise and good luck to Rhodes. I think he is a good back and will find success on another team with not so crowded of backfield.
