Kiffin elevates Fargas: One of the most amazing decisions of the weekend came in Oakland. Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin is going with Justin Fargas as the starting running back over LaMont Jordan. A month into the season, Jordan was second in the league with 424 rushing yards. He's been bothered by a bad back, but how quickly he's lost that starting job is remarkable.


Through eight games, Jordan has 521 yards rushing and a 4.0 average. It's pretty obvious Kiffin is using the rest of the season to look at different combinations of players to see what he has for the future. It also tells you Jordan is probably going to be released or traded next March.

We're not a really deep team. Kiffin needs to start grooming his younger players. This way we'll have a decent idea who can do what going into the off season. I'd L-O-V-E to see Michael Bush take the field for Oakland. I'm hopeful we draft Darren McFadden, for the one-two punch. But before we even consider a move like that, it would do wonders to evaluate Bush for 2 or 3 games. Would be wonderful to even put him in more games, but we'll see what Coach Kiffin decides.

We need to play Henderson if we're looking at players. The o-line is the biggest weakness and we need to see if Henderson is an answer. Looks like McQuistan is guard material.

I agree, i'd like to see Bush put in for certain situations...I like Fargas over Jordan any day!
