I'll say that if I ever make it out to Oakland to see a Raiders game I would not boo them. But I understand those that do.
As I said earlier in the thread, how many times in the last few years have Raider fans left McAfee happy? 5? 4? I've lost count. |

I agree with Porter and Griffith. Puting JR in now could really hurt him. He even stated the Aklili Smith experiment, we dont want that.
Whats wrong with society today is they want instant gratification. there is no patience for anything. We purged the randy Moss's we need to purge the line but we cant go to the local NFL shop and get good lineman right away. My god lets give kiff a couple of years to turn this around. As far as Boooing, I'd never boo my team. You dont think they hate losing too?

F#ck Porter! Win some games and maybe we will stop booing your assss. I'm glad the booing is starting to get to the players. We sucked for the past 4yrs. I love going to games but damm it would be nice to win every now and then. We think we know but we don’t know and I don’t a f#ck. What do they expect? Us to cheer for every INT or Dropped pass. Bottom line is WINS=RESPECT. Well this is my rant for the day. I’ll be at the game next week to get my heart broke again.
Go Raiders! Nice Drop Good INT Josh Way to stop the run

Go cry to somebody that actually cares, Porter. HEY JP, here is an idea for you: how about starting showing up to play on SUNDAY.

It's not even about wins ( I mean it is but) It's just that awful dipslay they put on the field yesterday. They watched three division rivals lose and then went out and got crushed by the mighty Texans' backups. If it wasn't for Stu's INT and the blocked FG it would have been even uglier.
People are pissed because this team is regressing and is at best inconsistant. We can play a good team tough and then rollover for beatable teams in our own house. |

Wow! The Raider Nation is divided. Some in here agree, some just want JP to shut the F up. Some are blind to the truth, and some have the "Chicken Little" complex.
Look people, the frustrations are high right now. But there is no reason to jump off the ship. Look at the big picture. How many years did everyone hear from other fan bases about the Raiders being old? They were. That is one effect of why the organization s in it's current state. The talent level has gone down because the players of yesterday are now gone and the youth has come from the drafts. Effect #2 is that the Raiders scouting department has not done a great job. In order to inject youth into an aged program, the scouting needs to be top notch and that is just something that the Raiders have not had. Wasted early picks on under performing players, kicker in round 1, the list can go on. Now they have gotten some pretty good players, Morrison, Asomugha, Howard. And some we just don't know yet. Effect #3 is the coaching carousel. Not the fact that coaches were fired because most of them deserved it, but the bad hires to begin with Turner, Shell, Callahan (although that is who the players wanted). Without continuity you can not run a team and expect them to be great. Players need the stability in a life that can be pretty brutal on and off the field. All of these effects have a common bond, Al Davis. I absolutely hate to say this because I totally respect what the man has done for this organization and for the NFL, his greatness is unmeasurable. But the NFL has past him by, he is now hurting this organization more than anything. His decision making is very suspect, and he just doesn't have the eye for talent that he did in the past. The NFL has changed tremendously in the past few years, he can't keep up. It hurts me to say but the time has come for him to take a step back and get the right people in here to make those decisions. Until this happens, this is what we should expect on the field. I for one am ready for the long haul. And I do see somethings changing, for one the coach. He does have a bright football mind and knows what he needs to win. This current roster is not what he needs, and this off season will be very telling if he has any control. (I won't put money on it that he will, but I do hope so.) Another thing is the defense, there are some great players on the defensive side of the ball. I also hope that the offense has some future playmakers with Russell and Bush. This is not 2006, but it's only a small step in the right direction. Sorry for the rant fellas, hopefully you can put it together.
