I wonder what Walter meant when he said this....

"It's just a situation where you're a pro," Walter said, when asked about his precarious standing with the team that selected him in the third round of the 2005 NFL draft. "Everything works itself out."

He wouldn't be saying that in the sense that now he's a mainstay in the roster, as he would know that Kiffin wants him gone asap.
He wouldn't be saying that in the sense that now he gets a crack as a starter to prove he's starting quality, as he's not even starting.
He wouldn't be saying that in the sense that now he can go to another team, as that's out of context.
He wouldn't be saying that in the sense of "haha Josh, haha Lane, I get to stay around longer", because he's "a pro" who wouldn't have that sort of attitude anyway.
So what does it mean? Even if he meant he gets to stay on the roster longer, that's not exactly a situation where "everything" works itself out as he's still potentially being cut.
Or...maybe...he's basically leaking the fact that now due to McCown's injury, that Kiffin and co have finally decided to just carry all four Qbs....especially with Culpepper potentially injurable too.
One thing about Walter I do like is that he's hell-bent on staying a Raider. He doesn't want to just go somewhere else, he wants to win back the starting job - as unrealistic as that may be with Russell around the corner, you never know, he could be a starter sometime this year if there are any more injuries or shocking QB play from McCown-Culpepper. And if he wins his games as starter, there could be a 3-way QB controversy brewing.
