Raiders | Team hopeful of trading Walter

Raiders | Team hopeful of trading Walter
Tue, 25 Sep 2007 07:18:45 -0700

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin said there is the possibility of the team trading QB Andrew Walter. However, with the injury to QB Josh McCown (foot), Walter may remain on the roster. "Sometimes things are just unlucky for a guy," Kiffin said. "In a way he's not having very good luck with JaMarcus' holdout and now a trade possibility coming up and Josh's injury maybe set that back. He understands. It is what it is. He could also be winning the game for us Sunday as well."

I can see the Chiefs picking him up but I hope he lands in Chicago or Atlanta.

He could really help Chicago but they need to fix their OL too. He would be getting sacked often behind that line.. ATL picked up Leftwich but I think
Walter is better than him. Who knows...?

Well, wherever he ends up I wish him nothing but the best. Last year was a train wreck and unfortunately for him he was driving the engine from time to time. I hope he does well in his future endeavors. I also hope we get a four or a five for trading him.

I awalys liked Walter and still believe he can be a hella quarterback for a team in the following years. I watched him play in the preseason and unfortunately he looked much the same as last season. He took some serious sacks and just seemed like he didn't have any feel for the position. I think thats the long term effect of the horrible teaching he received last season. If he can find a quarterbacks coach who has some time to work with him he could be a decent player in the NFL. Just hopefully not in our division.

Not Atlanta, this guy need to go to a team that can protect him. I don't know how the Bears O-line is, but I'll bet he's better than Grossman. I Know his arm is, and I know at this point, the Bears Fans would be all smiles to put him in.

I'm pretty sure Al wouldn't let him go to a Division Rival though.

To blame AW for that debacle last year is crazy....I still think he will be a decent pro.

Just hope where ever he goes, it doesn't bite us in the ass.

Wow...

Now they are screwing him even more...

He won't play him... won't trade him... won't cut him...

He could catch on with another team, but the longer the Raiders hang onto him, the less chance he has...

Raiders and Russell's agents screwed up any chance he has of playing at all this year. He should have been released as soon as C-Pep was signed, to give him a chance to play elsewhere... instead, we keep him in limbo.

Not a really nice thankyou for someone who took one (actualy about 43?) for the team last year.

It seems as though an unlucky set of circumstances is beginning to turn Walter into the new Tui.
