Nowhere else to drop this comment so here it is.
About the game. I was ready to cap on josh as a starter but after the 3rd/4th quarter come back got us the lead I'm leaving him alone. For now. What is pissin me off is sapp running his mouth to the offense about putting 21 on the board and leaving the rest to the D. The only reason our D got any turnovers are because of kitna. And he still roasted our asses. No pressure and no coverage about sums it up. Our O line is still in trouble but showing some signs of life. The entire team better show a hell of a lot more intensity at denver,or it's humiliation once again. Morrison,Jordon were the only players I saw that were flying around at 100% every play. Josh is getting more comfortable, but he's still running scared. I would be too behind that line. |

I'm glad the players feel that way and I can't wait to see where this team is 2-3 years down the line provided Davis doesn't piss off yet another good coach to the point where he leaves.
Guys, did you ever imagine you'd see our team so excited they were huddled up jumping around in the fourth quarter? It really raised my spirits seeing that happen. These guys believe in Kiffin, themselves, and this team again. They are excited to put on their uniforms. They look forward to playing. That's a 180 degree turn around from last year. Kiff has done all that in one pre-season. Now give him time to change the losses into wins. |

Well I kind of agree. Yes it was a poorly called defensive game, however our entire secondary didn't have a clue of where to be. And the front four looked like they were dancing half the time. Stood up. Blowing. I'm sorry but the lions Oline are not world beaters. The line was worried about the rush and didn't get it done in penetration. For a change the linebackers played better then the line or secondary.
c-bass is really a joke. At some point I would just see if we can find a trade partner for him. He can't hit a clutch kick if his life depended on it. The only value he has is now he is kicking touchbacks. Where were these the past 4 years? Yeah they were jumping up and down, yee haw. What did it accomplish? A flat defense that didn't force a single punt in the second half. Credit to the offense. At least they nutted up. |
