"We have a new scheme, a new attitude, a new line coach," Jordan said. "I'm starting to get a better understanding of the sideways running. But overall we're just going to be a better offense. We have a system that we understand, quarterbacks understand. We have a system that we like. But also, the person who's calling the plays, that's going to be a big difference. But none of that really matters. Us as players have to go out there and take care of our job, and if we do that, then we'll be fine."

Great quote from the article-Spoken truth!!!!

GOOD LUCK, LAMONT JORDAN!!!!!! Hope to see you make it happen!!!

You wanna silence the critics, then shut up and play. Put up 1200 yrds and 12 TD's then we'd all shut up. Until then, just hang on to the ball.

LMAO...

The fan hypebeast takes life for itself. YES, LaMont had an awful '06, behind an awful OL, within a horrible offense, and he himself helped add to that.

But how many forget how behind another HORRIBLE OL, with awful guard play, 'cause the off-season right after, all Raider fans on here talked about getting better guards, LaMont enjoyed a productive 1st season within an offense that wasnt that good.

He DIDNT deserve the big money he got. But who cared initially? Heck, he was one fo the few with passion and that played hard. And in '06, he became one of the whooping boys.

Facts are, he doesnt have a future here after this seaosn. Chances are, he is gone, Bush and Rhodes are the feature backs in the near future and Jordan will have to look elsewhere for a job. All he could do NOW, and all we better hope for NOW, is that he has a bounce back season, show his best, and like McCown or Culpepper, build up their resume in '07 in order to land good deals, good jobs with another club in '08.

Shut up and play. I love fans that love players that talk the talk, stand up for their faults, and are accountable with words...but then, there are manny within the same group that **** on these players. Its a double edged sword.

It wasnt LaMont's fault the Raiders handed him the $$$$. He took it. GOOD FOR HIM. And the Raiders took it back, and put him on the spot in '07 in order for him to get coin elsewhere in '08.

Thats life in the NFL -- you would think Jordan, guys like Stuart Schweigert and Barry Sims are as bad or in the same ship as Larry Brown, Ray Buchanon, Todd Marinovich etc. the way some people talk about them.

Im tellign yah, the internet forum hypebeast can either destroy yah with the avalanche of critique, or make you a legend without doing a damm thing on the football field with praise and expectations of greatness.

Did anyone else have a flashback of Bo Jackson vs. Seattle when Lamont banged his way into the endzone last week??

great post RINY,its not his fault we overpayed and he produced his 1st year. The same people who bitch about him also say you cant judge Walter on last year.So lamont gave a **** and spoke up a few times. Now its shut up and play.Rhodes or not he is the best RB on this team and I will suport him as long as he is a raider.

The simplest way to shut up the critics & naysayers is to perform on the field during the regular season. All the quotes & preseason games are meaningless if you don't get it done when it counts.

all i know is that he did have a nice game, looked like the knee wasnt an issue. the bottom line for me is to have someone, anyone, have a productive season. if its two, or three backs, i dont care. jmo.

Yeah, but that goes for Kiffin, Sapp, Jordan, Burgess, and any other Raider that talks -- especially Lord Al Davis. And if Davis talks like he has in the past -- then he should be open for critique and bashing; as he deserves when its time for that. But this fan-base gets touchy and whenever any one outside the Raider world, the media "hates" on us.
