It sure does look like John Madsen can play. He has done an outstanding job...competing this offseason. He didnt let the acquisition of Zach Miller bother him. Instead, he just upped his game that much more. With Miller & Madsen, it looks as though our TE position is definately in some good hands (No pun intended.) Also, the thought of using this kid in the slot could be a very good one. Maybe against st.louie, they'll put Madsen in the slot. That would be great to see.
I'm excited about this kid, and I congratulate him on a Great offseason. NOW, lets just transfer this onto the actual NFL field, and boy O boy does Oakland have a player!!!!!!

Excellent! Bring in Zach and now we have TWO good TE's....Math wizards may mull that one over for a little while....
Seriously though, it's a really good thing, you need at least 2 good TE's and with the added versatility to play in the slot, Madsen offers some offensive plays where he can line up as a 2nd TE and option out to the slot....Interesting options that can create mismatches if he can carry this over to the regular season.

Madsen seems to be open a lot, a great combo with Madsen and Miller.
