The 2003 first-round pick has been a bust. Oakland's new staff tried to move him inside, but Gerard Warren's acquisition could mean the end for Brayton.

I think we should see if we can trade Brayton first before we release him

It could also mean Kelly moving to right DE which I would like.

I thought he was doing decent at Tackle. He isnt going to be a run stuffer, but seemed to get good penetration. Hawthorne too. But that shows what I know.

I don't know, be this is a prime example of the really bad draft choices we have made with our 1st round picks in the last 5 years or so. I still think passing on Leinart set us back.

And to be honest, I really laughed at the idea of Brayton being a 1st rounder... although admittingly, I thought he'd at least be adequate at getting pressure on the QB.

Brayton is just the classic tweener...gets pushed around on the line and he's to slow for LB.

Gotta give the guy props for his motor and hustle...maybe some team like the Cowboys could make use of him.

Thanks for the motor Tyler. I don't think a DT at 280 will cut it. Can Brayton gain 25-40 more lbs.

Watch Brayton on film

At DT, he's getting pushed around like a ragmuffin on most running plays. His only saving grace is that he gets decent penetration on his pass rush, and is able to chase down screens.

But do the Raiders really need a DT who can't play the run, and is mediocre at best at DE, while paying him big $$ as a former first round draft pick? At this point, Hawthorne is a better DT, they just picked up Warren, and Moses, Huntley and even Richardson have a bigger upside at DE.

Brayton, Hawthorne, and Huntley. We probably only have room for one. The other two could be in trouble.
