Something tells me Pep is the guy that Kiffin wants starting, but who knows, time will tell.

He is the one guy on the roster that probably can make the Offense go. Walter has the gun, yet he makes bad reads and isn't mobile enough to run any rollouts or boots. Mcown is mobile yet he isn't accurate pass 10-15 yards, thus there is a danger with him.

How can somebody drop so many snaps? I like what Pep has to offer...but c'mon now...dropping snaps will lose games for sure.

Maybe now we can get something decent when we trade him.

It appears to me that the only thing Culpepper is lacking is chemistry with this team, specifically the centers. You could tell that each snap was an adventure. It looked like near the end, that Newberry was holding the ball up under his nuts for a long time, waiting for Daunte to get a hold of it. The timing seems to be a little off for the entire offense, hence, why I think chemistry needs to be developed.
Otherwise, Daunte has demonstrated that he's the veteran QB of this club, the all-pro and '04 MVP runner-up. Walter and Josh played well too, but the team seems to move better with Daunte at the helm, despite all the bumbled snaps. ^ As one has posted, a million practice snaps per day would be good at this juncture.
Questions about his knee and mobility were all but squashed on that one long scramble for a first down, in which Duante made a cut that made a defender miss.
Otherwise, this quote struck me: "...it fits Al Davis' profile as a man who resurrects players -- he looks at Culpepper and wonders if he can be Jim Plunkett." I posted the same thought yesterday.

This week the coaches need to make a decision on center and QB and let those players start to work together and get the reps needed to cut this $hit out!!

I was only able to see highlights of Culpepper under center last night, and he sure looked to me like his poise and talent are coming back to forefront again. If he can get a handle on those snap problems, we may wind up asking "JaMarcus who?" Culpepper has all the tools, PLUS the experience (including playoffs) that this team needs to win.
Like you said, HR, the big key is for Daunte to find the right chemistry with the team. I think the rest will fall into place, and unlike his "buddy" Randy, will find a home with the Raiders, possibly for the remainder of his career. About him being the next Plunkett..... wow. That's a tough call, as JP was a once in a lifetime project, I think. But Culpepper has the tools to be everything the Raiders have desperately needed in a QB since Rich Gannon.

I'm only referencing their situations, not comparing their skills as players, or their personalities as men.
In the case of Jim Plunkett, an ex-Heisman Trophy winner, number 1 pick, washed-out and wallowing away his last breaths on the Raiders bench until Pastorini gets hurt, and the rest as they say - is history.
In the minds of many, even many here in Raider Nation, Culpepper is now washed-out. However, like Jim Plunkett, I think he can have success here, maybe even put an exclamation point on his career, much like Jim did.
Otherwise, nice post!
