Oakland's going the wrong way. They should be adding somemore BIG DT's, rather than getting rid of people. Plenty of competition all over the field this summer, yet we really should add some more BIG bodies for competition at the DT spot.

^ Not just big bodies but I'd like to see an experienced run stuffer in the middle as well. IMO, Sapp and Kelly play the same position. Thus, we should not start both of them. However, can Sands handle that many snaps?

I don't think we are hurting at DT. Yes it wouldn't hurt to have another run stuffer like Sands, but right now we should have a rotation of Sands, Sapp, kelly and Hawthorne. If rookie Jay Richardson makes the 53, he could add some flexability along with Brayton. Both are originally DEs, but can slide inside in a pinch. I also agree that competition is good, but no reason to hold on to a guy that is just taking up space when you can focus training camp on those who need the work and will probally make the team. |

He wasn't just on the phone.
The guy has been hanging around the facility the last few days like a bum trying to pick up chump change at the quick stop doing everything he can to get picked up again. They worked him out yesterday.
The guy really wants to play and I sure do hope he makes it aslong as he can stay in shape and motivated.
