i guess im one of the few thats still likes Pepp..and thinks that he is not done..he had a sirius injury and rushed him back...in another month he is gonna be healthy.. if the raiders can get him getting calvin put him with porter who knows maybe moss.and get a TE .pretty good offense..

but the chances of Green trade getting done before the draft in very very very slim, chiefs still be sturbern with the 2nd round pick.

Clayton's theory is that the whole top part of the draft depends on the future of Trent Green.
Right church wrong pew.

The whole top part of the draft depends on Andrew Walter, not Trent Green and I have been saying this for months now.

IF Kiffin and company feel AW is a fit and can run his hybrid WCO then we will pass on a QB and acquire another one somewhere else.
Quote:
If Green goes to Miami, Daunte Culpepper will be cut and Oakland would then sign him. Clayton says if a Green trade can't be worked out, the Raiders will be forced to draft JaMarcus Russell.
Dead wrong.

Although I like the idea of drafting Russell he is not the only QB in the draft and hopefully Kiffin and company will follow there heads and there hearts and draft whomever is best for our team wherever they can get him.

That's weird.

I had a dream last night that Culpepper was the starting QB opening day.

The Raiders were wearing away uni's at home, the score was 5-3 Raiders in the 4th qtr and our RB was Patterson. (subliminal Peterson?)

I know I should'nt eat before bed....

Clayton changes his story every few days now. I guess its his job to pretend like he knows whats going on with the 1st pick overall. The Raiders have to get a look at Cpep's knee before the draft or they will take Russell, nice touch, makes him seem informed.

Plan and simple, Culpepper just doesn't fit the West Coast Offense.

Well 4 more days and I'll be over at my best friends house at 9a.m. chillin with the kid, 60" flat screen on, full bar, and his wife cooks a mean Mexican meal.
I guess we'll see what happens then.

Just a thought!!

Could KC be holding off on announcing the trade until after the Raiders make there pick just to make sure Johnson is still available. Just a thought!

Nooo!! to Daunte Culpepper!!! Raiders must draft Calvin Johnson, then trade him to highest bidder. From Jerry Mcdonald(INside the NFL)..Coach Kiffin has already scouted and formed opinions on many of the top draft-eligible players as a college recuiter. He did back ground checks and visited many in their homes. He said.."If you knew what they were then, a lot of times they're going to continue to be the same guy". "It's just more things you can bring to the evluation process". Early indications are Kiffin won't be reduced to a quivering mass, with Davis running roughshod over draft weekend. Kiffin liked the scouting department.."There's been a few things where we've had to sit down and I had to give my input on how things need to be done". When Kiffin talks about which players he wants, Davis should listen and act accordingly. Kiffin, not Davis will be spending hours in the meeting room preparing a qb to play each Sunday. So, Kiffin should pick the qb, whether it's J Russell, Brandy Quinn or a veteran in waiting. Kiffin has the inside information on talents such as Adrian Peterson, and hundreds of other talents. Kiffin sold Davis on his plan to revive a sagging franchise, now it's up to Davis to allow Kiffin to carry out the plan.

AL "Meddlesome" Davis is running our beloved Raiders ragged. He'll always be remembered as the Guy who built the Raider Empire, now he'll also be recalled as the Owner who burned it to the ground. AL is tilting at any challenge(perceived or real) to his authority, unwilling to consider hiring a strong-minded, accomplished general manager or coach, he is the unquestioned leader of a lost organization.

Firstly, KC SUCKS! Secondly, why wait? If AL wants CJ, draft him, Culpepper will be cut sooner or later anyway. If AL wants JM, this is all a mute point anyway. That being said, it was an interesting theory by John Clayton, and made for good T.V.

What I don't like is the 'forced to take JaMarcus Russell'

If ya don't want to take the guy don't just because 80% of the football world thinks you should. I don't care if we don't get another QB, if you don't like the guy that's there, don't draft him. Period. Done. 'Nuff said.
