All QBs struggle in their rookie season, Leinart was no exception. At least Arizona has their QB of the future, which is a hell of a lot more than we can say.

So Shell's agent is making up the account? I can't find the logic in that bro.

and the meeting that ended up in Shell's firing essentially was a contract negotiation, as he knew of the likelyhood that

the contract was going to be terminated.

maybe just maybe AL did go with the coaches guy and it back fired.
maybe AL listened to all the comments about him getting old and he should listen to others because at the end of last year i would have picked someone besides Matt myself going forward AL should do what ever he wants i'll still be a raider because AL is the raiders and the raiders are AL thats the bottom line
the players on the field have no pride any more they have money the winning attitude that was the raiders is gone not from AL and the fans but from the players and their big pay checks the raiders will have a harder time rebuilding than anyother football team because what makes a raider is the attitude and you have to have that in you you cant buy it most players with the big checks think they can turn it on when it counts not going to happen who would i pick in the draft "a raider" who ever his name is or where he plays i dont care just pick a raider

Its bs being perpatrated by Shells Agent in order to shed bad light on the franchise because his client was let go, you dont hear Art comeing out in the media endorsing any of this talk, nor do you see Art saying a single thing like this. If Art is so p.o'd as the rumor is he would have something to say much like Marcus Allen or any of the other former Raiders who where burnt by Mr. Davis. Shell has a right to be upset about being let go as a coach, the guy poured his heart into wanting to fix this franchise, not only for the fans but for the Raiders of the past and future. I think to fix things he needs to start by getting a new agent, then mending the fence with AL, but thats a matter of pride.

Agree Hitman, I doubt Al Davis will let others decide who to draft. Sure he hears their input but at the end of the day it's him who makes the final decision. Has Al Davis ever admitted that he was wrong? Ohh yes when he fired Shell the 1st time right.

I'm not saying Shell's agent is making it up, but come on, is it in Shell's agent's best interest to side with Davis or Shell in this supposed decision to draft Leinart or Huff? If he's got other clients other than Shell, you can bet he's not going to risk pissing off Davis especially if he's got a client in negotiations with the Raiders... it's called knowing which side your breads buttered on...

I just think people think that it would be easier to draft CJ this year if they had a QB in place already. Then again they should have drafted a QB in 2004 as well. Either way Al Davis needs to draft a QB already or let AW play. Sure it takes a couple of years to develop a QB but at least we'll know that their might be a bright future with Russell or Quinn.

His agent is mad because 10% of 0 is 0. The agent knows that Shell may not get a chance in coaching again. Shell left the nfl front office, and a gaurenteed money position to come back to us. The agent is trying to disasociate Shell with the franchise and put bad light onto Mr. Davis in order to vindicate his client in hopes that his client will land another job, making money, and therefore the agent makes money. Its not unlike what Drew Rosenthal or the Postins would do in order to get the best contract available for their client.
