Mike Williams destined to end up in Oakland?

Quote:
Mike Williams destined to end up in Oakland?
Mike Williams - WR - DET - Apr. 22 - 9:12 am et
The San Diego Union-Tribune believes Mike Williams could land with the Raiders if he's released by the Lions.
When Williams will be released is still uncertain, but he's fully expected to be off Detroit's roster by the start of the season. It's possible Lane Kiffin will be willing to give up a sixth- or seventh-round draft pick to reunite with the best red-zone threat he ever coached at Southern Cal. Apr. 22 - 9:12 am et

i would rather wait until he is released than give a 6 or 7 for him. i know usually a 6 or7 rounder just adds depth, but you never know.

Mike Williams

There's no reason to trade for Williams now and take on the last two years of his contract when he's almost guaranteed to be cut after June 1st.

Williams has publicly stated his desire to join the Raiders and be reunited with Coach Kiffin. Patience will show this to bear fruit soon enough.

The same thing can be said for Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, who was rumored to be involved in the Randy Moss trades. KGB is due a $5 million signing bonus and will likely be cut by Green Bay. Why would we want to trade for him, if we could pick him up after June 1 anyway? I'm not saying we shouldn't pick him up, because we should definitely pick him up, but we shouldn't trade for him.

with moss gone and if cj is on board, mike williams will be good near the goal line as a number four receiver in my opinion after cj, porter, and curry. this will up the challenge for morant and gabriel also.

Agreed bro can not afford that contract. He was a top ten pick wait and we will get him a bottom basement deal

Great, another converted WR to a TE project...because that's been working out so well for us over the years. Put him at WR or dont sign him at all. Draft Zach Miller if you want a TE and call it a day!

Agreed, I don't want Mike Williams as a TE, he would make a nice red zone reciever if we can pick him up for cheap after he is cut.

He will be gone before June. Don't give up any picks just wait for Mac Millen to give up on him.

We can't try to change a talented WR like Williams into something he's never been, a TE. That doesn't make sense. Are we certain he will be cut? I'm not one to trust the media on this stuff. If he is cut, the more recievers the merrier.
