Lets see... you are willing to blow up one of the best Pass defenses in the league, and not help one of the worst running defenses in the league...
Problem with our D is that Stu should NOT be making as many tackles as he is. His weaknesses are amplified on the TV screen because he is forced to take bad angles while trying to catch up to OTHER peoples missed assignments. We need MUCH better D'line play to make this defense better... and that means a good run stuffing DT, and as much as I think Brayton has gotten screwed by the organization, another DE. I also think however, (as I do the rest of this team) that we need a new strength and conditioning coach. Guys just did not look or play strong on the line... there were a lot of times we were just plain owned at the line of scrimmage. |

You know I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want anyone bashing me saying we have enough people playing out of position already. But I am with you bro he is better suited for FS (stu) is a good back up but nothing more

Another what;s up in the secondary? LOL...
Geez man. Huff will be fine!!! The rook had a lot of expectations, and FANS are really unrealistic at times about a top choices expectations. For a rook, just like a 2nd year Fabian Washington, they did a PHENOMENAL job to play on a top ranked 2ndary, at such a young age. Huff IMO will still be a play-maker. Just chill and wait... Not eveyrone is going to be a 'Ed Reed', who just comes in and makes noise right off the bat. People need to realize what are his expectatiosn too, and how he handle playing in spots... He had key major hits around the LOS, was a sure handed tackler, minus a few mishaps and showed what he can do as a line of defense in a 2ndary. He was a rookie, a top draft choice, that got outplayed by Howard another rook., who didnt have as many expectations. He isnt goign to play the way he did in college [Huff], as thaqt defense let him roam and attack and do things he CANT do in the pros, doe to the pro style offenses that can pick apart that, or the structured look of what a NFL defense provide. Huff will be fine... |

Sigh...
Missed my point. Our problem is NOT pressure, its run Defense. Huntley will probably be another roll player, ie good pass rush, not so great run D... AND THAT OUR PROBLEM!!! We need D'Line players who are good at both. Right now the O'lines and O'coords are keying off of what PLAYERS we have in the game. You saw it all season long... we'd change D'Line, they'd change plays... because both of our Defenses were one dimensional. They'd run, or screen, or dump to a RB when we had our pass guys in... You want to "fix" something Ten yards downfeild... I don't want them to get that far... |

Oh I agree totally. We need a DT. I wanted one last year but we didnt get one. Sands played well at times and at others he was MIA. I think we should resign him for use in the rotation but also go after a DT in the draft. I really like Okoye from Louisville but doubt we could acquire an additional pick to use it on him, but anyway it is a position we HAVE to upgrade. Im not as concerned with DE but agree it should be addressed before the start of the season. |

I just want a Wide Reciver C-johnson (1st round)/Running back lynch (2nd round)/F-safety Landry (2second round)/Tight End Zach Miller or Matt Spaeth(this guy is a true great blocking/catching Te) (3rd round)/Full Back Bryson Davis(he is another mack strong) (4th round) and my Draft is complete What do you guy's think
The problem here is Lynch is a first rounder, Landry is a first rounder and Miller is projected by some to be a late first rounder too. Some have him early second so while I would absolutely LOVE to have these guys it won't happen. Your first three are first round picks |
