i feel the same way that they can come back this year and be good. but ive never been a huge fan of moss coming here(even tho i loved watching him in minny) due to his age and inability to run routes. I said from the beginning it wasnt really smart b/c when moss slows down he'll be just another average WR.

Who are our leaders on offense? That side is a joke. Randy Moss being named team captain is a joke. Moss doesn't want to be here. How many times has he said or how many times does he have to say it.

Several players left the Marvin Lewis regime. Corey Dillion and Takeo Spikes who were sick of the culture and didn't want to be a part of the rebuilding process. Well Marvin had no problem getting rid of those guys and getting the ball rolling with the people who wanted to be there. We have to be the same.

If I were Kiffin I'd call up Dungy and Marvin Lewis pronto to see how they turned lemon franchises into winners. As a matter of fact his father was a part of the rebuilding process in Tampa so he should have a clue as to how to do it.

Moss wants no part of the Raiders and doesn't have the character to endure the difficult times ahead that we face. Let's cut or trade him before he quits on us again. Moss needs a new change of scenery and we don't need the headache that he will cause. Remember we were owed at least 1 honeymoon year with Moss we got it now we've seen the real person and that's a slightly better than average player (production wise) being payed top dollar. Wouldn't be the first time we did this. (SEE CWOOD)

Perhaps a veteran coach would be able to handle the situation, but I can just see where Moss would be highly skeptical about such a green coach coming in. Other players might be just as skeptical, but Moss has shown that he has a hard time with the "team" concept, moreso than anyone else on the Raiders. I see him as poison for a new coaching staff, especially given what he's displayed over the past year.

I am very excited about our new coach, but I worry that Moss could potentially ruin this chance to make a long term turnaround with a bad attitude, or, just as bad, indifference. He could still command a decent trade, and the less time he has around Kiffen and the team in general, the better.

Just my $.02
I think the nation is being too quick to dog Moss, hear me out. Remember '05? Moss was hurt all year but he went out there all 16 games, knowing we were out of it and knowing he was basically a decoy. He could have shut it down but he didn't, he was the consummate teammate. How is he repaid? By sticking with the coach? By bringing in a great offensive system? No, by bringing in two guys who had been out of football since before Moss was in the league. I am not saying that he handled it great, but if something analogous to this happened at your work you would be upset too. I think Moss and Porter will buy into the new system because they will believe it can work.
