The media is never happy with what the Raiders do. If we hired a retread then we would be a laughing stock. We hire the youngest coach in the league and they are still not happy. I for one am happy .Being an SC fan I know he can run the offense. Maybe Andrew with Moss and Porter if they stay can be very productive. He got a five year deal so hopefuly Al knows if might take some time. Next is the draft.See what Al lets him do .Don't be surprised if they draft Dwayne Jarret and go with Walter or Plummer or Huward. Any way you look at this it's better then what we had. I would go 2-14 again if the team is going in the right direction.

If we don't get some talent for the offensive line, it won't matter if we have Cliff Branch and Jim Plunkett clones next year, 2 and 14 will be our fate once again.

Kiffin has met with Gruden many times over the years so I can't imagine that he'll be shocked by what AL does...said it many times before, this is a no lose situation for a young coach. He has a built in excuse for losing---AL.

i am very tired of all this **** from the media , i think on paper we are not so bad, this team is third on defense , this defense is young and all the player on defense will be there next year and probably better than last year, if the offense can just control the time a little bit more our defense will be better. porter, curry and probably calvin johnson will be a good trio of wr, just this ****ing o-line need to be upgrade and i think we can win 6 to 8 games next years.

everybody critic the style of davis, very bizarr, if davis is always a problem , why madden, flores, gruden can win with davis and not kiffin. shell and turner and also bugel was awful is the reason they loose point.

He is the son of Monte Kiffin who coaches with Gruden who was here and we all know what/how the media thinks they know what happend between him and the Raiders. Dont you think all those time in Tampa with Monte,that he already said something about the organization? Monte is Lanes dad so dont you think Monte told him about the organization? What about Sarkisan (his USC buddy)?

Lets face it, the media knows how to guess when it comes to the Raiders. This time their guess that 'no one wants to coach in Oakland' was just wrong so they have to make a twist to sell their article.

The funny thing is, the Raiders are not far off from turning thongs around, the D is in place, all a coach needs to do is get the O moving in the right direction. The media just jumps on a bandwagon, they are full of it when it comes to the Raiders most of the time.

I wouldn't heap Ray Ratto in with the "Raider Hating Media" so quick. Over the last 30 years he's been one person in the bay area who's always liked the Raiders from everything I've ever read or saw. He's being un-biased in my opinion..which is his job (take note Tom Jackson).

I guess if I had a nickel for every Raider hating journalist I could retire. If I had a dime for every Raider fan who see's every negative thing printed about the Raiders in the media and chalks it up as "Raider Hatin", I could buy a small country.

No one is ever happy (including most of the fans here) with what the Raiders do. We could get Bill Parcels to coach this team and some chucklehead would have an issue with that. This is a great opportunity for Kiffin. All he has to do is get some kind of offense going here and get this team to .500 and he looks like a hero.
