Let the healing begin…

The bleeding has now officially stopped. We are on the mend with the hiring of Lane Kiffin. I am so excited about this. I really think this was a great move. Since the Super Bowl loss this franchise has been in a downward spiral. I feel that rock bottom was hit last year and that our future looks bright. It took Gruden 3 years to get us to the playoffs, but looking at the teams we play next year, if we can win a couple games in our division, and get a little lucky here and there, we could go to the playoffs. I think AT LEAST 7-9 to 10-6 is realistic.

Al must have liked something about the KID in order to hire him. Remember, that sadly, this might be the last coach he ever hires for his and our beloved team. There must have been something about him that screamed WINNER to Mr. Davis.

I feel so relieved that we didn’t hire someone like Fassel or Green. I wanted a new face for our Raiders. We have a young coach and a young team. They will grow together, they will learn together, and they WILL WIN TOGETHER.

It’s been a long time since Raider football has been fun. It is already fun again. Next season we will no doubt have many growing pains to endure, but if the offense was the 25th ranked offense this year we would have been at least 8-8, so I don’t think we are as bad as our record showed.

Can you imagine how much better our D is going to be after another year of growth, a FA or two, and with an offense that can hold the ball a little longer and score some more points. If we can ever get a lead, our Pass Defense will straight up dominate.

At least we have a coach to be excited about. There is no way Al would have hired him had he not seen something special in him. Who knows, it’s very possible that Kiffin is around longer than Al… let’s all hope not… well… I don’t know... nevermind. I HOPE Kiffin is our coach for the next 15 years cause that would mean that he was very successful.

This team is going to go from laughing stock to King of the block. Just watch. It’s going to be fun… I’m so happy that once again, Raider football will be fun. Even though it’s going to take some time, I really see this as the move that stopped the bleeding from the wound the Super Bowl loss made.

Worst to First in 07 baby… GOOOOOOO RRRRRRRRAIDERS!!!!!!

I HOPE JANUARY 22, 2007 GOES DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE DAY THE OAKLAND RAIDERS ROSE FROM THE ASHES OF THE NFL.

The Raiders are young, hungry, mean and BACK.

This will be an EXTREMELY exciting off season for us, to be followed by a great comeback year.

Raiders all the way, Baby!

I'd be content with a 6-10 season the way the last few have been. Think Kiffen can get us there?
