A Gift for Coach Kiffin

I'm not gonna predict our 2007 record, but take a look at our easy ass schedule:

Home games
Indianapolis Colts
Chicago Bears
San Diego Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs
Denver Broncos
Houston Texans
Cleveland Browns
Detroit Lions

Away games
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Miami Dolphins

San Diego Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs
Denver Broncos
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings

Other than the Colts, Bears, and a strong AFC West, I say we go into many games next year as the favorite. Thats right, i said that about a FORMERLY 2-14 team. At least we know this guy will do his homework and hopefully fire up the Offense

We aren't going to be a favorite against anyone but that schedule is quite nice, especially since the bears are inconsistent and the Colts aren't getting any younger.

Im not sure we will be called favorites, but at least as a fan I will be expecting wins. The Titans and Jags arent pushovers, but the rest really dont have anything going for them. If our O can get 17-24 points a game, everything will soon fall in place

We lost to the Texans and Browns recently when everyone thought it was an easy W. That's why we play the games.

Good post, very interesting. As previously posted, I will be writing a preview on the season shortly after the draft. I will be posting in depth matchups of each Raider game of the season, and will predict the outcome.

No seriously -- just asking -- IMHO -- that is a TOUGH schedule. Anyone else think this?

Besides Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and the Detroit Lions - the remaining teams were either playoff teams or missed the playoffs by one game?

Im not saying that all 16 games are cake, but consider the odds of getting almost all of last year's weakest teams (other than us of course). Hopefully Im not too naive, but look:

HOU 6-10
CLE 4-12
DET 3-13
MIA 6-10
GB 8-8 (not as good as their record)
MIN 6-10

And dont forget half the team is borderline great.
