IS IT NECESSARY TO POST THE SAME OPINION 10 TIMES INSIDE ONE Or TWO HOURS AND USE CAPITALS TO EMPHASISE YOUR POINT FURTHER?
WE GET THE PICTURE!!!!....you Think You Can Tell The Future And You Wish To Share Your Special "gifts" With Us All. More To The Point; Can You Name A Single Nfl-experienced/ready Coach That Is Free Atm And Inspires You With Confidence? |

Me too!!!
Shell was a huge mistake. At least with Sark we will have enthusiasm and a coach who will actually watch the game instead of doodling on a clipboard. Besides all coaches had to start somewhere so why not Sark? Sarl also has the added advantage of being with the Raiders before so he knows the inner workings. Sure there are risks but if you dont go to the dance you dont get the girl right so at least we are trying something different instead of a retread which I like. If he gets us to improve our play and get 5 to 8 wins he deserves to stay and I think thats all we can expect is between 5 to 8 wins which sure as hell beats 2!! Give him a chance and lets talk again in Jan 08 :-)

No the biggest mistake Lord Al ever made was re-hireing Art Shell. I screamed about it from the second it was announced.......
Sark wasn't my first choice Bobby Petrino was. Would have rather had Mora Jr or now Josh McDaniels (Sark O.C). But I am Pro-Sark and he gets my 100% support if hes hired. Sark won't be a mistake if named H.C.........

And the CAPITAL LETTERS EMPHASIZES HIS OPINIONS AND MAKES IT A MORE STRONGER POINT....RIGHT??
LOL.... Look, I dont think your accurate about one thing: Quote:
As for this... Quote:
I guess the only media that is 'stupid' is the one we perceive to be as 'stupid' when they write an unfavorable article or that doesnt kiss our butt when we want. Or, the same one we get all giddy about when they write about how good we are, or any other good stuff we like... Is that the same media that the Raider fans have built a schtick about, how they LOVE to hate the Raiders... Crazy, like Ive said before -- its ok when the Bengals and Cardinals are dumped on by that same 'stupid' media. We all yucked it up for years when Cincy was a laughinstock and when they said..."Cincy is officially on the clock for the 1st pick...", after their week-1 defeats. Turn the tables around, "Oh NO THEY DIDNT....." It gets old, really. No coach who comes in here, will have a set of goals to align the media to what us fans perceive should be, in terms of their angles or reporting...thats nuts! In closing, I really enjoyed your post -- Good to see differing opinions! |

I'm waiting for the next thread...the three bowls of porridge metaphor;
Art Shell was daddy bear and his bowl of porridge was too hot for little black riding hood Al Davis. Sarkisian is baby bear and his bowl of porridge was too cold for little black riding hood.... ....but Mummy bears porridge (the perfect, NFL experienced, mid-40's uber coach that will quit being a success somewhere else out of the kindness of his own heart to be our coach) was juuust right. |

I Can Honestly Tell You...I Was Anti-Shell From Day 1.
...and very much Pro-Sark. In fact, there are probably a couple of admins out there that have warned me for saying stuff about Shell and the team. You talk about the following:
1. Experience 2. Knows what to do and what to say 3. Coach that will attract free agents 4. Knows how to handle players 5. Been in the NFL recently I have the perfect candidate then. Norvell Turner. Think he might want the job??? I mean, plenty of experience, players love him, supposedly knew what to do, recently in the NFL. We all saw how that worked out right? The thing with Sarkisian is his energy, that's what I like about him the most. Also, USC definately runs a very pro style offense. Besides all of which, I don't think we could possibly do any worse than Art Shell. Plus, Sark knows how to deal with young QBs and teach them. I'm not saying I wouldn't want to bring in Ken Zampese, but I definately am not hating the idea of Sark, especially if Kiffin is part of the deal. |
