on the Lofton Bandwagon, Anyone else...

Are right no making fun of me, but is anyone on the Lofton bandwagon other than me.

I don't particularly care for either but I would take Lofton over Sark because he has more NFL experience and has a better shot of having the players respect.

And please there is no reason to answer me with a "no". I just want to know who is one the badwagon, even if it is just me.

I'm not really on anyone's bandwagon yet. I see no real reason Lofton is any less qualified than Sarkisian, other than that his WR's don't play great in SD. But Lofton does have more NFL experience.

I'm on the 'it's okay to interview/hire somebody who has never had any past involvement with the Raiders' bandwagon.

I am sorry but my feeling right now is:

Lofton = Skinny Art Shell ( a quiet old school player and coach with no fire)

BTW, Why the hell are people comparing Lofton to Dungy or Herman Edwards!

Because he is a thin black guy with a positive demeanor? HE IS NOTHING LIKE THEM! Dungy and Edwards are both defensively trained players and coaches that came from the Tampa 2 defensive coaching style. Lofton is a HOF wide receiver who now coaches WR with no defensive coaching history!

Wow! What similarities!

I don't see why not.. At this point I'd still like to see Al take a shot with Sarkisian, but if Lofton gets hired, it ain't the end of the world.. So count me about halfway on the bandwagon..

Sark developed Palmer who is one of the better QBs in the NFL. Sark developed Leinart who many believe is going to be one of the better QB in the NFL. Sark developed Booty who some day will be a solid starter at the least.

What do all of these QB have in common? They are SMART and can read a defense.

Lofton has developed... NO ONE! His WRs were/are all better with other teams! If he can't develop WRs and that is what he did so well when he was "gaining experience"; why would you want him to come and help develop Walter or whomever we replace him with at QB?

The WRs in SD benefit from never being double teamed yet these WRs still are avg at best. We already have underachieving WRs so why bring a coach who would bring more of the same?

No, because the SD WRs are very unimpressive, even with all the defensive focus that Gates and Tomlinson draw. This leaves me with the opinion that he isn't a very good WR coach, which leads to doubts about being a good HC.
