And please there is no reason to answer me with a "no". I just want to know who is one the badwagon, even if it is just me.

The only bandwagon I'll get on will be the one when Al hires a HC and lets him hire his own staff.

I like this post. McDaniels or Trestman, and I'm a happy man.

People say why Sarkisian, then if AL hires another retread they'll be the first to complain.

Go with the youth, it has served well in the past, and I believe it will serve well again.

****Oh to answer the question posted by the Thread: NO, NO, and NO to lofton. Can anyone say Rooney Rule????

I don't have an impression about any of our candidates so far.

maybe we are waiting for the playoffs to end so more candidates will be available. Who knows?

And how exactly is James Lofton an upgrade? Another lousy option because he knows Al.

Ken Whisenhunt would rather coach the lowly Cardinals than us. Their ownership is horrible and meddlesome. That tells you something about the perception of the Raiders in the coaching community.

Come on guys, James Lofton is one of the best deep threats in the NFL right now and ever. He had one down year, so what. Christensen isn't going to be here forever and we really need a complement for Dokie Williams to handle the load? Seriously. I'm on board.

Yeah that surprised me to. I guess the Cards have some weapons, but it will be same ole, same ole in Arizona with the Bidwells around. At least Al wants to win and will spend money on players.

Dear Mr. Davis

Thank you for your time.

We the undersigned will make this quick and to the point.

I wanted Bobby Petrino. Then Mora Jr. Since they wouldn't come here I am now on the Josh McDaniels for H.C and Sark O.C bandwagon. An added plus with McDaniels is he worked with R. Ryan. Ryan should be less likely to get pissed about being passed over for H.C by him. He also has NFL experience as an O.C. Both can grow into great coaches with us......

Like you said go with youth. So even though McDaniel is my favorite now I am fine with Sark H.C or R. Ryan H.C/Sark O.C......

and Hell NO to Lofton except as maby the WR coach.....

.....I could see the communication between McDaniels and Ryan being far more productive than anything we've seen in the past. Also, Since Rob Ryan's a Players Coach, I'm sure communication with player's would be improved significantly. To put it plainly, this was shell's absolute worst characteristic, his communication with players.

I wouldnt mind McDaniel's, Sark, and Ryan. That looks good to me.

I don't want to be negative so here it goes.

I am on the "Lofton Band Wagon".

I am also on that "ripping my fingernails out Bus", as well the "get drunk and sleep with the ugliest chick in the bar on accident, Choo-choo train."

Most of all, I am on the "robbing a liquor store for 38 dollars, and 50 scratch tickets, spending it on a whore and getting a gangle of STD's, shortly thereafter get put in prison for the liquor store job, where I am sodomized against my will by another inmate, and fighting only makes it worse... band-waggon."

Is the sarcasm coming through?

Lofton has developed... NO ONE! His WRs were/are all better with other teams! If he can't develop WRs and that is what he did so well when he was "gaining experience"; why would you want him to come and help develop Walter or whomever we replace him with at QB?

The WRs in SD benefit from never being double teamed yet these WRs still are avg at best. We already have underachieving WRs so why bring a coach who would bring more of the same?
How do we know that Sarkisian made Palmer Leinart and Booty smart and taught them to read defenses? Norm Chow may have had something to do with that or maybe they were smart and good learners on their own. Who knows, maybe as QB coach Sarkisian did develop them, but we really don't know.

Besides, a HC does not have the time to spend mentoring a young QB. He has too many other administrative and overall team responsabilities to deal with. Whether it's Walter, Russell, Brady Quinn, whoever ... if Sarkisian is HC, he will not be the one spending day to day time developing them.

Sarkisian is fine with me ... but I don't see where all the hype comes from.
