Are we Raider Nation? We talk of the glory years and getting back to Raider football. Committment To Excellence, Pride and Poise! We live in the past We talk of The Snake, Assassin, Bo, Marcus, Old Man Willie. I was there and remember the glory years and they were good!

Twenty years from now are we still going to be talking about things that happened fifty years ago because the Raiders of today can;t get it figured out. I hope not. I would like to think that starting with our next head coach that five years from now we are hoisting our fourth Super Bowl trophy and the future of the Raiders is bright!

Other NFL teams fans can talk about the past but we are living in the past and I think we need to move on. i love watching all the old NFL films but I would also like to see yearly highlights of our team in the present kicking ass and taking names. Knowing that for the next ten years we are going to make the playoffs each year and advance deep into the playoffs! The past is Past lets make the future bright for our children and grandchildren to look back on with pride and not looking back at our past which has long since gone.

I doubt seriously that even 30% of the threads here revolve around the glory days

when things are going bad for the Raiders, at least we have a past to be proud of! Not too many teams have the history we do. Our past gives us hope for the future and something to be proud of.

man it was great to see Gannon tear the broncos defense apart.. the looks on shannarats face.. yeah... I want that back.. and soon, but at least we have "GLORY DAYS"

Yes it sucks that it's been over 20 years, but what about franchises like SD, AZ, CLE, NO, SEA that have no Lombardi's - that would truly suck.

It depends on the discussion. If Al is brought up and people start talking about whether or not he is the problem, the past ALWAYS comes up. If people are trash talking with Dolts fans, the past ALWAYS comes up.

no, we are not the only ones...we are just one of the few teams that have a great history with good and bad. look at the 40freakingstupidios they always talk about the past...5 superbowl rings.... anytime i talk about the team they have on the field the 40 weenie fans go back to that...."5 superbowls".
