Oakland Raiders New Philosophy; “Next Man Up”

Oakland Raiders New Philosophy; "Next Man Up" - Just Blog Baby - An Oakland Raiders Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

General Manager Reggie McKenzie got rid of a ton of veteran players and dead weight this past off-season. Then, he brought in 60 new players to compete for starting positions. Along with revamping the entire team, he is hoping to instill an old philosophy that the Raiders haven’t had in a long time. The philosophy, “Next man up.”

The question is will it work? Raider Nation will get to see if this philosophy will pan out for our team.

No I see where we both went wrong.

It WAS a mantra. Now it's a philosophy.

    Big difference.

Sometimes I wonder how these writers have the jobs they have. "Next Man Up" a new philosophy?? It's the oldest philosophy in the book. Every sports team everywhere shares that philosophy. That's why they have depth charts. The next time you see an athlete get hurt and the team opts to not put anyone in to replace them or decides to forfeit due to the injury will be the first.

Can't wait to see next week's write up about how the Raiders are mixing things up by trying to impose their will on the opposition.

Nobody got hurt when Hue was coach.......they just got dings and nicks....
Ted Nugent being interviewed by a British journalist.
The journalist asked, "What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, `Are you my friend?` or is it `Are you the one who killed my brother?'"

Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French in that way."
