Pryor in Pistol

Did anyone really like how the 49ers run their pistol? How could Pryor, McFadden, Reece, and either Taiwan Jones/FA RB or 2013 draftee not succeed in that style of offense? Would you like to see us running the pistol?

The reason why the Niners have sucess with it cause he can actually throw good. Pryor is still trying to figure that out and not lob every pass. I think the Raiders can have sucess with it but not as there main formation.

pryor did not run the pistol in college, so why would he do it in the NFL

pryor ran a legit NFL offense in college, which is why he looked so comfortable in knapp's antiquated WCO

What he ran @ OSU was a legit NFL offense, damn I feel sorry for our Raiders, if that is the case.

Regardless until he learns how to throw he will never be an NFL quarterback, and I cannot remember anybody that has improved their natural throwing motion, going to be very difficult. But I hope he succeeds.

As he is currently teams will just play center field on Pryor and keep him in the pocket he will be extremely easy to defend.

his throwing motion isnt the issue

its his footwork

not sure where all this "throwing motion" nonsense is coming from

sometimes his throws are "all arm" because he's not using his lower body correctly

and that can definitely be fixed and has been fixed for virtually every single QB who has come into the NFL.

Pryor and Kapernick are similar but Kap has a elite level arm, I think Pryor can still be effective but Pryor would never be in kap's league IMO

The piston is just like the wildcat was. A gimick play that the college ranks ran. They installed it into the NFL, it lasted a while and then faded away. The pistol will do that same.
