the arguement that pocket QBs have won more SBs, and that makes them better isn't a valid arguement. FIRST OFF, great TEAMS win Super Bowls. Teams have only started to allow running QBs run the offense where they are a legitamate running threat. How many seasons have past in which there has been 1 or fewer running QBs. They haven't been given a shot until now.
There have only been a few running QBs in the NFL prior to the 2011 season, and very few of those guys had great teams.
Dan Marino is one of the greatest PP-QBs of all-time and has no SB rings. Peyton and Favre both have had HOF-worthy careers (and long careers) yet only account for 1 SB, each. the past two seasons, 4 starting running QBs have taken their teams to the playoffs (Tebow, Wilson, RGIII, Kap) and there have only been 5 starting running QBS (Cam being the only player to not lead his team to the playoffs). This isn't because of the QBs, it is because they had teams good enough to take them to the playoffs.
It doesn't matter who is the QB of this Raiders team at this point, until the entire team improves no QB is going to lead this team to the playoffs, let alone the super-bowl.
I have rambled on TWICE today, what's wrong with me.
