I just read an article on NFL.com that mentioned Jacob's having been released by the niners just prior to the post season, I didn't even know he was a member of their team. Does anyone think there would be any value in bringing in a player like this to ease the load on McFadden? They mentioned he came off an injury but is healthy now and is looking to play again in 2013 and as McFadden is injury prone bringing in a bruiser like Jacobs could help to keep DMAC healthy.

No. He's not a team player.

blount... jacobs cancers. no thx. not needed on our team and not worth thier average talent.
No to Jacobs, get Blount or get a physical RB in the 6th.
I'd rather someone like Monte Ball.

Darnell Dockett speaking about Darren McFadden, the BEST running back in the NFLI have great respect for that man. That (expletive) runs hard, I mean harder than anybody I've ever seen
No thank you on Brandon Jacobs. There are quite a few free agent RB's that are likely to be available. Some may get resigned, but you can consider:
Peyton Hillis
Felix Jones
Shonn Greene
Reggie Bush
Rashard Mendenhall
Cedric Benson
Danny Woodhead
LeGarrette Blount RFA
Ronnie Brown
Tashard Choice
Jonathan Dwyer RFA
Ryan Grant
Chris Ivory RFA
Steven Jackson
Chris Rainey
LaRod Stephens-Howling
^ That's a lot of RB options. Not everyone fits what we likely want, but certainly just about any fan here can pick at least 2-3 off that list that they feel could benefit us. There are options.

Jacobs? Meh...I'd see what he has in camp first
Out of that list, I'd like to get Hillis or Reggie Bush. Hillis because he's got enough power for the short yards and Reggie because he's dynamic and is as good as a receiver as a runner. I doubt we get Bush but Hillis could get a shot and he'd be teaming up with DMC again which might make for some good chemistry since they're both good downhill runners
Chris Ivory is another good prospect and is tough between the tackles
We should look into getting Tashard Choice!
He is soft as baby poop.
