I think most Raider fans know, don't pay huge for someone in the secondary... Football is won in the trenches! I'll PASS on him!
I heard this morning on Mike and Mike that the jets are looking to trade Revis this off-season. I would definitely pull the trigger on that if I was Reggie. He's not coming cheap but he's definitely worth the money.

No ! I rather Build a team with young talent . This is not about right now !
I think the Jets have the right idea trading Revis... he's not going to get them to the SB, and by the time they're good enough, he'll be over-the-hill. Same as the Raiders with our QB situation. Both teams need talent in large quantities, so trading their star veterans should be an option worth pursuing.
That would be a classic Al Davis move - trading away future draft picks for a veteran with a high salary and mileage. Frankly, this type of move MIGHT make sense to a franchise looking for the last piece to the puzzle but for the Raiders who need to completely rebuild their defense it makes zero sense at least to me.
Do i hear a Palmer for Revis trade coming?? I'd be happy with that.
I live in the heart of jets country(unfortunately),the jets aren't looking to trade him,but would be open to listen. With that said, NO THANKS!!, this guy is nothing but a me,me,me, player coming of a major injury, looking for big money and when he gets a deal he'll just hold out for more half way through. Just my opinion, from living in NY and witnessing this already.![]()
I think alot of Revis' great defensive plays would be interpreted by the refs as holding and pass interference if he was wearing silver and black. Plus his cap number will be gigantic Pass
this is exactly the kind of player I dont want, once you pay them big, they stop working. We want hungry guys who play hard, who give it their all every play, not overpaid injured stiffs who feel like they never get what they deserve

I'd rather get younger....
Too much money, cost too much. Build young, keep the course. These guys get so much pub, they become divas and divisive.

Are we 1 player away from the playoffs? He has a huge contract. We have no money. What do people keep making these unrealistic threads? Al died last year and let the Raiders in cap hell. It is going to be a year or 2 before we would even entertain the idea of bringing in a high price piece. Hell we need 10+ pieces that 2-3 could be gotten with his salary.

Very well said.
No corner in the nfl can cover with crappy pressure. . And the Raiders had some of the worst pressure last year. Raiders couldn't get pressure with a base defense if their lives depended on it.
Great example is NYGs latest Lombardi. . They list starting corners in year, but pressure was good.
Getting corners without pressure is like buying car tires before you have an engine.
