Norvell and his son are in Cleveland now.
Norv's gone and even if he wasn't I doubt he'd be interested.
Pep Hamilton or Al Saunders.
Enough with Turner already !!!
Remember everyone. We must be patient and wait, wait wait wait. Yea, everyone else is hiring, but hey, that's not how we do things in Oakland.![]()
Id rather have a fresh coordinator like Pep Hamilton even though hes from the college ranks. But he also has NFL coaching experience but I just dont want a retread or some stubborn, old, non-adaptable coach who beats his system in the offense despite personnel i.e. Knapp. Lets get some new blood in here and develop some coaches also for a change.
Well seen that Pep was someone that Oakland had put in to talk with for OC for us over the weekend so maybe its just hadn't been confirmed yet as to taking place yet this week is all .
Norv is on vacation so he nor the Browns have confirmed anything yet as both know he is going there but why confirm this when Norv isn't there to answer the questions by the local media they will have for him on coming there and working with his son again as well to with the other staff he is worked with before .
I haven't seen anything reporting that he accepted a job with them at all. I saw that Chud wanted him and everyone is assuming he's going there but there hasn't been a certified report that he took the job.
Until I hear otherwise, he's still on the market
Pep Hamilton, Tom Moore, Pat Shurmur, Joe Lombardi, Pete Carmichael, Clyde Christianson, Ken Whisenhunt... 7 pretty decent guys right off the top of my head, sky isn't falling just yet.
Well when the OL coach George Warhop turns down the chance to go join a well establish Head coach in Andy Reid in KC in the same position and stays with the Browns because Chuds is said he is getting Norv then my guess is that he already knows that Norv is accepted the job and fills like they can pickup where they left off in San Fran before else more then likely George feels that he could have much more success and likely nice pay increase for going to KC then staying with a rookie head coach and total unknown in OC for him .
How do you suggest Mark Davis (actually Carol Davis since she's the one who actually owns the shares), who's only source of income is owning 47% of the Raiders beats Jimmy Haslam in a bidding war? Norv Turner will probably make more money than several head coaches in the league (including probably Dennis Allen).
