No we are a train wreck for keeping a Lame HC instead of hiring a GOOD HC who will bring in a good OC. Now we will be stuck with a bad HC and a retread OC that no one wants. This will not be a recipe for success.

I feel like I'm the only one sitting back and relaxing about the OC hire.

Reggie fired Knapp because he sucked.....The season sucked because Knapp sucked........Reggie does not want next season to suck......he's taking his time and wants to get the right guy for our players....he's not stupid or blind or a conniving backstabber trying to screw the raiders over......he'll find someone.

10 days until our "staff" coaches the senior bowl, that means about 4 days until our "staff" go to start coaching that team? This means unless they hire someone in the next 4 days we have no input on players from an OC, LB coach, or O line coach. Anyone else see the issue here? We are taking a great opportunity to evaluate talent before the draft, and to get our new "staff" working together in a competitive environment and are pi$$ing it away. Even if we made all these hires today it's no where enough time to get on the same page with each other. This team is a laughing stock.

Secondly, the thought of some playoff OC leaving his competitive team to come to this trashcan we call our favorite football team is laughable. Why on earth would any established coach come and work for a 38 year old HC, on a team devoid of talent, with no cap room, and no chance of being competitive the next few years instead of staying with a team that has a chance to win a ring?

While taking your time to pick coaches can be a good thing, knowing what you want and need, and then going after it was called for in this situation. Doing things this way is doing us no good right now.
