Chip Kelly to Cleveland....Could that be a possible trade partner? *Pryor*?

Its all but done that he's going to Cleveland.

None of the QBs on that roster match that system imo. Maybe Colt McCoy but he's kind of fragile. Mike Vick is a free agent..but he's kinda done (Also would you really want Mike Vick.....IN the the Dog Pound? ?

Chip Kelly recruited Pryor very hard out of HS. Besides Pryor wanting to play in a Pro Style offense...it was the distance that ultimately eliminated them.

Chip faced Pryor in the Rose Bowl a few years ago. I saw something recently that Pryor put up the best performance (his team won as well) against a Chip Kelly coached team in the bowl games.

If Chip offered a 3rd or 4th rounder for Pryor....do we take it?

Before I thought NO TEAM would think about trading for Pryor...especially where he is at in his development...but now.....maybe...

I "personally" I want to keep Pryor. I'm no Pryorette, but I'm sold that given the chance, our offense would be extremely dynamic with him behind center.

He learns to step into his throws more he'll be ok. There were instances in the game where he threw some darts and threaded the needle in one of those pass attempts to Reece who incidently dropped it.

IMO. He has more than potential, he has promise

As tempting as another 3rd round pick would be, I would be against letting an athletic beast like Pryor go, who has shown that the NFL is not too big or fast for him. Before we let him go it would be worth seeing him at other positions, there is just too much potential. Preparing for Palmer and a read option Pryor would be a nightmare for Defenses.
John Madden:They've got a ways to go. He was playing the game without a full deck. To be honest, they don’t have enough players. The cupboard was pretty bare. It would have been tough to do much more than what they did. If he’s going to do well, they gotta get a lot more … some teams need a quarterback or a running back, or a pass rusher … . The Raiders need a whole barrel of guys!

These Cleveland rumors are just that. Rumors. How in the world would the local sports news guys have nearly confirmed information on an interview happening a thousand miles away? Unless they somehow bugged the room I call BS.

believe pryor can be the QB here for many years , if want to trade then trade Carson (The Statue) , he will not be here long term not mentioning his insane salary. get 3rd rd pick for him , maybe Arizona ! Pryor , i sense something special with this kid !

No. They can have Palmer for a 7th rounder.

Agreed! Even if Pryor was traded, the Raiders compensation would be insignificant. I doubt any team would be willing to part with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even a 6th rounder for a QB that only played 1 game his whole career lol Pryor will be here for the long haul unless he starts regressing like Boller, Sanchez or Leinfart. Personally I hope he progresses and becomes the next starter of this team.

Unless Pyror completely faceplants in camp and preseason he's pretty much a lock to be at least the #2 quarterback, provided we retain Carson, who is still easily our best QB. I'm just not sure if Reggie is going to pay Carson 16 mil, so Im sensing they are going to demand some sort of paycut, or possibly cut him (with the cap hit) and then decide to match any offer he gets in the open market. Sort of like how we cut Cooper Carlisle and resigned him later to a cheaper deal when he got no interest in the open market. But I do expect Palmer to be back and starting, and as long as our next offensive coordinator decides to use our players to their strength, we should be an above average offense.

But dumping Pryor would be silly. The kid obviously has talent. I was at the SD game and was really glad to see how he played. I was actually shocked that his numbers looked as bad as they did, because he played much better than the numbers indicated, especially given the conditions, and the typical drops that have plagued us all year. What I loved about Pryor was even when he started moving around, he was keeping his eyes down the field looking to pass first. He does need to step into his throws though. A lot of his big players were running out of the pocket and throwing lazy ducks to receivers that were pretty open. He does have an arm, but he feels afraid to use it at times

As a previous poster quite eloquently said "I am no Pryorette" - that is to say I don't think he is the messiah on the basis of one game.

With that said, despite some of the weaknesses of his game (which are coach-able) I can't help but like everything I have seen thus far from Pryor. Not only does he come across as a leader (despite the fact he hadn't started an NFL game until week 17), but he actually performed pretty well and kept us in the San Diego game pretty much to the end - something we have struggled to do even with Palmer under Center. There were after all a number of dropped passes that were right on the money - I counted about 6-7 passes that would be considered easily catchable by an NFL quality receiver (there were a couple of bad passes as well of course).

He is not a Griffin 'plug and play' option, but given a couple of seasons could develop into a starting quality QB. Given Palmer's age and the lack of other immediate options, I would be very disappointed if we traded him.
