The best scenario is trade our 1st round pick for many future picks.
pe. Trade our top five pick for a late first+a 3rd+a future 1st 2014+a future 1st 2015 or something like that
I know its sounds crazy but these things can happen
    pe. Julio Jones<->5 draft picks

PS. DT and G are deep this year

If we don't have plans to switch to a 3-4 base defense... I would prefer we traded Houston. He isn't going to be a very good DT, IMO... and brings next to nothing in pass rush. He will be a very good DE in the 3-4 and if we did trade him it might come back to bite us. I personally love the 3-4. If we stay in a 4-3, then I like Demontre Moore with our 1st rounder. If not him, then his teammate LT Joeckel (sp?).

I agree they have strong work ethic and fundamentals are good, but overall leadership is lacking.

I'm in for Manti Te'o for the 1st pick. Talk about having leadership,he has it all.

I don't believe he'll make it to the 2nd round undrafted, btw. Jacksonville and KC need new QBs badly.
If he's there when we pick in the 3rd round then yeah, there's value there. I don't think he'll go that far down though.

But I wouldn't rule out the 2nd round. Remember Jimmy Clausen a couple of seasons ago? Was top 10 pick in almost every mock draft and then he fell all the way to Carolina at 48.

I would much prefer Star from Utah but rumbling is he might be the first pick over all..
If we do get Werner its because we traded down.. he will make a solid left side DE.. we still need a right side who is more of a speed pass rusher.

Werner got some speed of his own. He gets off the ball well, has a nice explosion off the ball.

not enough to be considered a speed rusher in the NFL. He won't play right end. He is a prototypical left side defensive end.

I made some edit.. I realized I mixed up right and left.. I should sleep normal hours more often..

Anyone know of a good mock draft out there right now, that is not behind espn's ridiculous paywall?

I hope no one from the nation pays espn to be an "insider".

He can get around the outside, thats not a problem. He got great explosion, and can get low, plus the strength to shed blocks and get to the QB. You need to use your hands, have some strength and explosion too, you just can't be a speed rusher in the nfl, Kamerion Wimbley is a perfect example, unless he's going against a scrub, he will get locked up.

I know there’s really no such thing as a “can’t miss” player. But who do you think is the closest thing to one this year?
I kept hearing the hype about Jarvis Jones. The Alabama game changed my perception of him. He could be a miss.
The QB’s this year. Certainly not “can’t miss”.
Joeckel?? Too many can’t miss tackles have missed.
Te’o? I think he’ll be a solid LB for years, but he may not be a star.
Speaking of a star… I think Star Lotulelei might be closest thing to a “can’t miss” in this draft. I’d be very happy on draft day to hear his name at our pick.

Walterfootball has us picking Star and then Kyle Long in the 3rd.
