Elway's a good businessman. He's been successful in the car dealership business across the nation. And he does know the NFL. The hiring of John Fox was a good one. He'd had a few years away from the HC position after having taken an expansion franchise to the Superbowl. And then Jack Del Rio suddenly became available to run their D. While Del Rio wasn't the greatest HC in the world, his defenses have always been tough. Then they landed Manning. Just between those three people you have a combined history of success that's hard to match.

Fox has shown the ability to be flexible and get the most out of his players. Look at what Denver's staff did last year with Tebow. They revamped the entire offense in two weeks in order to accommodate a guy who's an anti-quarterback.

Granted, there was a lot of luck in the Manning thing. If Manning would have been shot then the entire team would have gone down the crapper. But they did their homework and... f it. This just sucks.

Any knowledgable Raider fan and NFL professionals all could have seen this outcome

It amazes me how people are already calling for Dennis Allen's head after rebuilding this organization from the inside out

It takes years to build a competitive team and this is year 1. It took Houston 5 years to build a competitive team, You probably havent noticed since you are a football causal but our biggest problem has been the lack of continuity and the revolving door at the HC position.

Reggie basically guaranteed Dennis Allen 3 years in his initial press conference and thats what he will get

You "fans" are PATHETIC!!!!

Before calling other Raider fans "pathetic" you should consider that, if Allen remains as head coach, then next season , or the season after that, you will be the loudest one screaming "WE NEED TO FIRE ALLEN".

Some fans recognize the problem before other fans do, that's all.

That's a straw man argument, His point is???? If the Raiders had talent like E.D ect, the current coaches would not know how to use them. He never mentioned the Raiders had players of that caliber. Nor that the current roster is competent. That was not in his post. he did not even infer it.

Raiders will beat the Broncos, Manning will get injured and miss the playoffs and we'll all be laughing when Denver gets beat down in the playoffs.

Yes, our season is null and void,however,we have 3 of 4 games against our hated rivals coming up and the Raiders will end the year in style.

We all know that his how this team has showed (Atlanta) that can play some of the best teams very good, it's actually a pretty common trait of bad teams. They play the best teams, the hardest, for what ever reason. Maybe, they feel they have nothing to loose, maybe the better Team, under estimates. Who knows, I will be there hoping for an exciting game, at least. Just no blow out, please.

Very good points! But, what if, just what if, RM (for what ever reason), after working and evaluating DA, for 11 games, has come to the realization that "his guy," is the wrong guy? IF, HE REALLY has had a change of mind, why would he waste one more season on his schemes and philosophy? One thing is certain, if RM, has realized he made a mistake, he is NOT going to be sharing it with The Media, during his "Round Table," discussions. He is going to say exactly what he has said, "I am pleased with Dennis Allen."
