My understanding of this call is the refs agreed it was a fumble that did not go out of bounds. Since the raiders did not have possession there was no way they get the ball. (A) The bangles would either get the ball where the whistle was blown or (B) replay the down.
Riiight.... but he blew the whistle because he supposedly "thought" it went out of bounds, that being the case it should also have been a loss of down. But I am done thinking about this honestly its not a surprise people will maipulate it to sound like it was the right call and clearly wasnt, it will be made a mainstream rule until it affects the Patriots/Packers and then it will be changed as always.
HOLY TOLEDO...TOUCHDOWN RAIDERS!!!
"Here it is. Snapped, spotted. It's kicked. That's got a chance. That is ... good. It's good. Holy Toledo, the place has gone wild. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. There are three seconds left in the game. There are three seconds left in the game. Well, if you can hear me, this place has gone wild. The Oakland Raiders 23, the Cleveland Browns 20. George Blanda has just been elected king of the world.''
BILL KING: 1927-2005
At least for the first time I can remember an announcer had our back. Those were a couple blatantly blown calls.
(clipping and whistle)
Never heard an announcer go off like that.
