Hire Jon Gruden and give him full control of the team. If he wants RM around then he can keep him. Then sit back and watch this team improve over night and restore its reputation in the media.

But Mark Davis' idea of running a football org is listening to other people tell him what to do, then playing dumb like he doesn't know how to run a team, even though he's Al Davis' son and probably should've seen this day coming.

Which drafts? You must mean drafts during his tenure in Tampa, right?

Gruden didn't have any drafts in Oakland. Al presided over the draft during the Gruden years. Sure, Gruden's opinions were taken as input, but Al made the decisions.

Is there any reason to think Gruden would come here if offered?

I mean, unless he just loves the Bay Area and has a soft spot for rebuilding the Raiders, I can't think of any reason he would come back.

If he gets back into coaching he will have a lot of options and teams that will pay big money to him.

Why come to a major rebuild with salary cap issues like the Raiders?
I doubt Mark could pay the highest salary either.
