Hue to possibly get another shot in the bay? I think this would be a good look for Cal... Tedford was good for our program but his time came and went.

I can see Hue having success at the college level, he'll have a ton of control and college players usually love that "rah rah" attitude

Hope he gets the job! Hue Jackson coached the offense to the strengths of the players, and that's particularly important at the college level. Players with different skill sets come and go quickly and coaches have to adapt their game plan to the various types of talent they managed to recruit.

John Madden:They've got a ways to go. He was playing the game without a full deck. To be honest, they don’t have enough players. The cupboard was pretty bare. It would have been tough to do much more than what they did. If he’s going to do well, they gotta get a lot more … some teams need a quarterback or a running back, or a pass rusher … . The Raiders need a whole barrel of guys!

Tedford definitely made the bay start thinking about Cal football again and got that stadium built...but it's time to go! Hue probably would be a good look.

Hue, Gruden, Cable.......those names are like late night adult programming to us here at Raiderfans.net. We get all hot and bothered with the thought of them, and the old days, and thinking of the "what if's...." when the current spouse gets all weathered and old and ugly.

Hue would have his own talk show during the week.

His BS recruiting players would be something else.

I think he would be good at recruiting he has that bullsh*itter personality, but a better coach than Lane Kiffin. He could be good, but college football is all about recruiting. It's hard to say.

I personally think he would be better off coaching college players than guys in the NFL. College coaches have far more control, with stuff like recruiting. He is also a great mouth so to speak and he is probably persuasive and charismatic enough to entice some good prospects to play for him. His offense at times can get quite gimmicky with all of the reverses etc which will fit in well in the NCAA.

Care factor though is 0. Dude isn't a coach for the Raiders no more.
