The Face of the Franchise

Interested to see who you guys believe the player is that is the 'face of our franchise'. For example, when someone mentions the New England Patriots, nearly everyone links the name to Tom Brady. This is the same with Drew Brees and the Saints, Ray Lewis and the Ravens and so on... Who is the face of the Raiders? Do we have a 'superstar player'?

Simple answer...No.

I'd venture to say that once this team starts to actually reflect what Reggie is trying to build and win on a more consistent basis, then a franchise player or face of the franchise will show up. Also, we may become a more "normal" team but a franchise player may still be a ways off. I think a franchise player shows up when a franchise isa stable, consistent winner. Think of Matt Stafford or Sam Bradford, they both play at a high-level most of the time and could be seen as the face of their franchises but Calvin Johnson and Steven Jackson could just as easily be seen as the face of their franchises, respectively.

So it is going to be more then likely one of these guys that will be looking at being the face of the franchise
