TV blackout of Oakland Raiders-Dallas Cowboys exhibition game lifted

NAPA -- The Raiders announced that Monday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys at O.co Coliseum has sold out and will be televised locally.
Kickoff is at 5 p.m. on ESPN, with Jon Gruden doing commentary in his first visit to the Coliseum since he came in as the visiting coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004.

This should mean it will also be televised on KPIX Channel 5 in the Bay Area. Since I am not going to this game I will be able to catch it.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard . No teams sell out for pre-season. Why do the raiders have to sell out?. Is this new? They have always televised raider games with the coliseum being empty. That's just stupid.

Requiring teams to sellout preseason games is absolutely f'ing ridiculous. Preseason games are televised practice, and for the most part they totally suck. The f'ing NFL needs to stop being so goddamn greedy. You make absurd amounts of money, but no...you have to try to force the preseason sellouts too.

This is not new and the preseason games in the last 17 years have been tape delayed 3 hours.

If it is blacked out it is blacked out for all networks for live feed.

Up until last year I never had a preseason game blacked out in Sacrameto that I can remember. Regular season was blacked out routinely over the years but not pre-season. I always saw the games live an then they were on later that night as well (I always just watched live).

The Bay is always Blacked out. We are always stuck with George Atkinson and Jim Gray tape delay on channel 36 out of San Jose.

Many preseason games had good crowds this week, I hope the Raiders don't look like fools with 15,000 in the stands. Looking like the dumbest team in the NFL for the past ten years has got old. Everyone will be watching, it could be a great opportunity to turn a new leaf, or the media will be screaming "Same old Raiders".

I think he meant with the A's field, wish they would get their own stadium. Never liked the dirt field in the beginning of the season. Seemed like it caused a few slips here and there and would like to see our shield at mid-field instead of the baseball field.
