I don't see him as Cliff Branch or an all pro either. Can we get back to the topic now?

Sorry, it was clearly a case of a lack of comprehension.

All you have to do is read his post. No one was comparing him to Irvin or Monk ass players. Sorry if it's harsh in your eyes, but it's completely true. How many people have tried to clarify this for him thus far?

Oh, wait, now I see why you were taking up for him. OTF pointed out that your reading comprehension on the matter was similarly lacking. So how does that make me a "douche?"

Too young? So exactly how old am I, Ms. Cleo??

Catching the ball close to the body is not body catching, body catching is trapping the ball against your body with your forearms. You are too young to have seen Monk and Irvin play, or you would know these guys had good hands. DHB still double clutches way too much, and that's what people are seeing.

You are being overly defensive when you start throwing insults like whining, haters, and super critics. There are no rules in any thread that says everyone has to make positive comments. This is a discussion forum, not a prep rally.

Any pro athlete is going to get criticism, deal with it.
Did you seriously go there? Since you did, you probably need to adjust your tim foil helment a bit because you are getting horrible reception. For your information, genius, I saw most of Art Monk's career along with Joe Washington, Mark Mosely, Joe Theisman, Charles Mann, John Riggins, Dexter Manly, Rus Grimm, and all the rest of the Redskins of that era. As a matter of fact, I am a VA resident who watched the Raiders smoke the Redskins in '84. Now, if you really could read minds through the computer, you would have known all of that.

As far as you celebrating my typo, it's a obviously pathetic attempt to score some cheaps points in a debate you lost by a landslide. Oops, you bad. Have a great evening.

    So what?

James Lofton is in the HOF and he did that his whole career.

Just re-read your posts on this thread and notice the way you talk down to people. That will never be an effective form of argument; it doesn't make you tough to sit behind your computer and type. The same goes for OTF

I think we all agree DHB is no Irvin or Monk. Irvin and Monk were brought up to illustrate the point that good WRs do SOMETIMES use their body. I get that, but these guys were also able to use their hands to go up and get the ball when necessary. At this point, DHB has been shaky, yet improving, in this regard. Here's to continued improvement I'm done with this thread.

As long as he continues to get the kind of respect CBs in that video were showing him, the hands/body thing will be irrelevant.

CBs played 10 yards off of him all year in 2011.

That tells me what DCs think of DHB.

His combination of size, strength and speed makes him rather a daunting figure to square off at the line. Plus, Aso worked with him when he was with the Raiders giving him tips how to burn defenders who play him tight at the line. I expect that defenders will continue to play off which might be something the new scheme will exploit even further.

They are going to have to play off the line on most of our receivers or they are going to get burnt. Carson likes to throw deep, always has.

    1. You criticize a player and when your opinion is criticized in the same manner, you can't handle it and call me a douche.
    2. You put words in my mouth saying I compared DHB to Irvin & Monk while in reality all I did was present video evidence that there are HOF WRs doing the same thing. You said "I've just never seen a good WR use his body so much." it is obvious you never watched them play.
    3. You point out how you played high school football and coach high school football and question whether I have ever played football then call me a douche again. Take your experience and go apply for a professional job coaching WRs and you will see that the Pros, like me could give a Sh*t about your opinion.
    4. This is a message board where people give their opinion and if you can't handle people not agreeing with you and it makes you start calling people "douches" then you might not be mature enough to post your opinion. Calling people a "douche" will never be an effective form of argument; it doesn't make you tough to sit behind your computer and type
    5. I don't give a damn if DHB pulled his pants down and caught every ball with his A$$ cheeks! If he is putting up numbers and doing his part to help us win, that is all I care about.
The better question is ‘what are the reasons I wouldn’t take this job.’ I mean, I’ll be here…yall won’t eat dinner tonight with all the reasons I have to take this job. Guys, this is where I came from. I’m back home now. I’m back home. - Reggie McKenzie
