Yeah, good write-up. I find it hard to disagree with any off-season power rankings that put us in the ~20 range because we've had so much turnover in the front office and coaching staff, and we still have yet to see DMC take a snap post-injury. So there are open questions. I'm hoping/expecting/praying that we answer them in true Raider fashion on Monday night in Oakland.

Good read and I agree with the ranking until this team can prove that they are a contender it is what it is..............................

Ya i totally agree. I was surprised that they think we have a possible top 5 receiving core tho.

A little to high, but this stood out:

Hmmm, someone was concerned about this; someone stated that the fit might not be good and that Palmer may end up injured. Someone also mentioned that this system would fit Pryor better than Palmer.

I guess you didn't see Matt Schaub playing the last few years under Knapp?
Will Knapp tweak the offense to Palmers strengths or will he expect Palmer to do the same things a young Michael Vick did in Atlanta under him?

Do you really think Pryor would be a better QB for us just because his forty time?

Why aren't our rivals held to that standard?

WE didnt prove we were a contender last year by equaling the results of all 3 of our division rivals?

This is just anti Raider slant cloaked in analysis but the logic makes no sense given the inconsistencies.

I would buy that if our rivals had done something lately but they haven't.

On paper you can argue that both Den and KC got better based on the talent they have brought and are getting back.
Den won a playoff game with Tebow and now have Manning who the Media have ALWAYS loved and will always anoint him the god of football until he proves otherwise.

KC is getting healthy and has added some nice pieces (I hate that they got the Cle RB to back up Charles).

SD I think you can argue might be worse since they are trying to replace V. Jack with Meachem and or that ex Den Wr (cant think of his name at the moment). As well as losing Tolbert.

With us we havent made any fancy splashes in FA (Im not complaining as I like what we have done, but from a media perspective). We got rid of our so called best CB and best pass rusher (we as fans know the truth but to the outside world that looks bad).

I agree with you that we are being overlooked and they are being over hyped but I see the reasoning behind it. And at least most of the analysts I see are saying this division including the Raiders is wide open and could go any number of ways. But then they are forced to make a judgement (its their job) so they look at the off season moves and go with Den and KC or SD over us.

Knapp was not the OC with the Texans. No, I remain unconvinced that Knapp is capable of changing his offense to fit the players; thus Pryor, a more mobile QB, will better fit Knapp's offense.

Well, that someone seems to know more than people like you, so if he is an "idjit," what does that make those people? Something less than an "idjit" apparently.
