It's more than just ads. I am equally disturbed by the items on this site that "track" your every move.

Download Do Not Track Plus and prepare to be shocked at what is going on.

As to BK's question on income, as long as you are giving away the milk, you aren't going to have as many people willing to buy the cow!

I work on an internet biz and agree that the OP has a virus.

Another suggestion is if you are running windows dont make your user an administrator, log under a regular user and only log as administrator to install programs or updates. That helps plenty for the security of the browser. Chrome is the most secure browser btw.

About the ads I agree they are a pain but is one of BKs revenue streams. Im not sure we should be giving suggestions on how to circunvent them.

Thanks PH , I now understand why everytime I come on this forum, I either get Challenenger R/T ads or Tivo Ads etc etc. Im not realy worried about it at this point because it doesnt realy annoy me much at this point, but atleast I understand how all this tracking stuff works and how to gaurd against it, if I decide to do so.

If your using an iPad it is probably not a virus. Make sure you have the POP UP blocker enabled.

Dude, that's the closest thing to "abstinence is the most effective..." Seriously, even for "Internet-savvy users" (if there is such a thing in the arms race that malware has tranformed web browsing into), it is the most effective form of prevention. It's inconvenient, but it can, and in most cases, will save a lot of headaches. Good suggestion.

I have the same problem with the ad blocking the log in space and it seems like it just moved to that area recently but this does happen while I am logged in.

I Am using it on Waterfox 64 and haven't had a single ad on this site.

Infact before I used Ad-Blocker the only Advert I ever saw was the Survey Advert .
